Devendra is a sustainability and global value chains expert based in Bonn, Germany.
Currently, he works with different stakeholders to transform and grow multiple global value chains (fashion, textiles, paper, packaging, and hygiene) to be more sustainable and responsible. His approach is to find balance among the various players in the value chain and play an advisory role in their sustainable transition. Working with forests owners, policymakers, value chain partners, and global brands; he brings a holistic view of the sector and the role responsible sourcing plays in creating a sustainable future for the next generations.
Before moving to Germany, he worked for 8 years across five different countries leading large-scale projects in the fashion industry and working closely with global brands and manufacturers to ensure integrity in their value chains. He has led cross-functional, multi-cultural international teams to execute projects, Sustainable transitions, change management, strategic sourcing, vendor development, contracts negotiations & process streamlining in areas of high-volume manufacturing & supply chain.
He holds an MBA from I.E. University in Madrid, Spain, and a bachelor's in fashion Technology from N.I.F.T. India. He has certificates in sustainable fashion strategy, value chain development, and standards and is a specialist in circular economy transition.
